A charming and humorous countryside scene depicting a young peasant girl in traditional dress kneeling on the path, distressed by the broken pieces of her red terracotta jug on the ground. Next to her, near a rustic thatched-roof well, a young country man leans on his staff, looking at her with amusement and playful benevolence.

Pièce certifiée d'origine grâce aux marquages textuels et surtout à la présence rare et hautement collectionnable du timbre humide bleu officiel de l'administration du journal Le Petit Parisien apposé dans la marge inférieure droite.

The original art paper presents a beautiful, warm historic patina along the outer white borders, fully consistent with its age. Central artwork area is immaculate. Certified genuine thanks to the print credits and the rare, authentic original blue administrative ink stamp of Le Petit Parisien newspaper office on the bottom right margin.
