A rare and historical piece of diplomatic-era graphic art. The detailed color artwork by illustrator Carrey depicts the official French diplomatic mission traveling on horseback through the rugged Moroccan mountains towards Fez. They are escorted by traditional Moroccan guards with rifles, beneath the fluttering French and historical Moroccan flags.

Zone illustrée principale très propre.
• 🇺🇸 English: Genuine vintage archive condition (1905) [1]. Outstanding state of preservation with rich, authentic color pigments. The original newsprint paper presents a beautiful, warm historic patina with minor natural foxing and edge wear along the outer white margins, fully consistent with its 121-year-old history.
